The 2004 winner of the Golden Toad is .... Jonathan Hunt
This was a suggested by member Mike Ryman in 1994 as a device to get the membership to appreciate just what goes into putting a show of this magnitude on the stage, and also to appreciate the huge amount of work required to run an active society consisting of 130 members and 40 Vice-Presidents. Obviously the Committee need the assistance of many members to help get all the duties done at the right time, and in good order.
Each year, during the final stages of the show, the members are asked to consider who they would like to see win the award ( Committee members are not eligible) taking into account personality, help given to the Society, input to the show, etc. and the Committee then scrutinise the votes and make a final decision.
