 TOADS Stage Musical Company has always been known as a friendly society, and  it’s members engage in many social activities during the year. However, earlier this year members of the society took part in a social event to beat all others.
Our treasurer Elaine Gard, a regular c ruiser, suggested more than two years ago that a cruise holiday be organised for members, and fully expecting a handful of people to indicate an interest, was somewhat taken aback, but delighted, to find that 27 members and friends were eager to go. Elaine undertook all the arrangements and finally after many months of planning, on April 1st this year, the 27 took off  from Gatwick for their flight to Barbados. There they joined P&O’s liner Oceana and cruised to St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Tortola, Antigua, then crossed the Atlantic, visited the Azores, and sailed back to Southampton on April 14th. Everyone had a fantastic time and all want to do it again.
The next cruise is at the booking stage for Summer 2006 and after organising the mega social event of all social events, Elaine is at it all again.
