In memory of our late Ex-President, Edgar Crocker, the Society purchased a cup for the Torbay & South Devon Festival of Music, Dance and Drama, which takes place each April and May at the Palace Theatre in Paignton. Edgar was a founder member of the society, and was Chairman for many years before becoming President in the mid 1970s. He remained President until he passed away, just a few days before our 1986 production of CAROUSEL.
Edgar also achieved considerable prominence within NODA, finally becoming National President during the mid 1960s. His wife Leah always supported him in his endeavours and remained interested in the Society until she died in 1995.
Their daughter, the late Betty Luxton kindly paid for the Keeper Cups given to the winner each year. Past winners are:
