NODA THEATRE CLUB
Great group offer on The Woman In White
Based on Wilkie Collins’ THE WOMAN IN WHITE, one of the most successful and influential novels of the Victorian era, this exciting new musical has been adapted for the stage by Charlotte Jones, whose award-winning plays include ‘Humble Boy’, with lyrics by David Zippel, whose credits include ‘City of Angels’ and the Disney classics ‘Mulan’ and ‘Hercules’. Andrew Lloyd Webber has composed the captivating and romantic score. Internationally renowned director Trevor Nunn, responsible for, among others, ‘Cats’, ‘Starlight Express’, ‘Les Misèrables’ and, most recently, ‘Anything Goes’, will direct the production.
This sensational new show will star multi-award winning actress Maria Friedman and will also mark the return to the London stage of Michael Crawford. Friedman recently won her third Olivier Award for her performance in last year’s ‘Ragtime’ and is one of the UK’s most outstanding musical theatre performers, having appeared in a wide variety of hit shows including ‘Chicago’, ‘The Witches of Eastwick’, ‘Sunday in the Park With George’ and Stephen Sondheim’s ‘Passion’.
Crawford’s return to the London stage comes 18 years after he starred in the original title role of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. He later reprised this role on Broadway and in Los Angeles winning Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics’ Circle and Drama Critics’ Circle awards. He has also appeared in many other stage, film and TV roles as well as being an accomplished recording artist. In THE WOMAN IN WHITE, Crawford will play the charismatic Count Fosco, one of the wittiest and cleverest villains ever written.
THE WOMAN IN WHITE begins with a dashing young man, employed as the art tutor to two devoted sisters, who is stranded at a remote railway cutting. Out of the darkness looms a woman, a mysterious figure dressed in white, desperate to share a chilling secret. He and the sisters soon find themselves trapped in a web of betrayal and greed, the victims of a seemingly flawless crime. Together they will need all their resourcefulness and courage to outwit the ingenious villain. As the compelling plot twists and turns, low villainy vies with high romance in a world where nothing is as it first appears and where it is impossible to know who to trust.

Copycat Sisters Wanted for Feature in Best Magazine
Do you and your sister live parallel lives, which mirror each other’s? When something happens to one of you, does the other follow suit - by accident, coincidence, or even deliberate design?
Best are looking for two sisters who, like famous copycat siblings Kylie and Danni Minogue, mirror each other’s lives, for a feature for Best magazine.
Just look at Kylie and Danni Minogue and the parallels are amazing. Kylie made her name in Neighbours, followed by Danni landing a role in Home and Away. Kylie relocated to Britain to forge a pop career. Soon Danni was booking her ticket to Blighty. When Kylie was transformed from girl next door to international sex symbol, Danni’s stylist started working overtime. Now Kylie has declared her love for French boyfriend Oliver Martinez and Danni has been showing-off her new beau, businessman Jeremy Garamond, who is also French and has similar striking good looks to her sister’s man.
They want to find two photogenic, articulate sisters, aged between 25 and 45, who copy each other all the time and are full of stories, anecdotes and hopefully have photos, too, to show the ways in which they’ve mirrored each other.
If you’re interested and want to find out more, please call or email me, Fran Bowden on 020 7924 6446 or 07973 938 478 or email me at fran.bowden@ntlworld.com
